San Mateo County is great place to live! Living in San Mateo since 1983 when I moved from San Francisco, I am familier with the Peninsula's different neighborhoods, schools, shops and restaurants. There is planty of open space, ideal for those of us who enjoy outdoor activities, such as walking, hiking, running, cycling, tennis and golf. It is also a reasonable commute to San Francisco and San Jose.
